The Chattanooga Valley Library Media Center serves as a focal point for school, supporting its educational program with a variety of traditional resources and new technologies. Our goals are to promote reading in all grade levels through special reading programs and activities, to support and assist with research in all areas of the curriculum, and to provide a user-friendly environment for reading and learning.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Students visit the library once every two weeks with their reading class and whenever their teacher schedules research time for their class. In addition, students may use the library at any time as long as they have permission from their teacher.
Students may check out three books for a period of two weeks. Most books may be renewed as many times as needed, but must be presented at the time of renewal.
Books cannot be checked out if a student has an overdue book. Fines are not charged for overdue books. However, if a student loses or damages a book, he or she is responsible for the replacement cost.
